Yesterday 4th grade students and Pizazz presented a concert to the school and for parents in the evening. We practiced for weeks during class, one week combined, and then we were ready for our performance. The concert was a huge success! Students were thrilled to participate. Parents really enjoyed seeing their children on the stage. It was a lot of fun!

Last week 6 of my students participated in the first ever all-county elementary chorus. What a cool opportunity for these talented children to work with other kids from around the county to create really beautiful music. We rehearsed  Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday. The concert was Saturday evening. I attended all rehearsals as well as the concert.

Yesterday I stayed after school with my 6 all-county kids to help them rehearse and prepare for their upcoming festival.

Yesterday I had the great opportunity to get together with a few other music colleagues to share thoughts and ideas! It was great to be able to talk about what we are doing in our classrooms and ask questions of each other. We were able to look at some big ideas in each of the grade levels and share specifics lessons that we are enjoying teaching.
